What kind of port is Funauki on Iriomote Island?
Iriomote Island is one of the Yaeyama Islands and was registered as a World Natural Heritage Site in 2021. It is home to creatures found nowhere else, such as the Iriomote wildcat.
Funauki is a small settlement located in the southwestern part of the island, about a 10-minute boat ride from Shirahama Port. The settlement can be explored on foot in about 15 minutes.
