What kind of port is Rumoi Port?
Rumoi Port is a distribution port on the Sea of Japan coast that supports the lives and industries of the Kamikawa and Sorachi regions, centered around Asahikawa City. In recent years, it has also been used for tourism, and Japanese cruise ships call at the port.
Shrimp, octopus, and scallops are caught along the Rumoi coast, and you can enjoy fresh seafood in the city.

- Kogane Misaki Seaside Park: A cape where you can see beautiful sunsets over the Sea of Japan. Approximately 2.3 km from the former Rumoi Station, about a 7-minute drive. Swimming is prohibited.
- Okatteya Moe: A shop offering Rumoi's local specialties, such as herring roe and processed seafood products.
Full day
- Asahiyama Zoo: Located in Asahikawa City, it is Japan's northernmost zoo. It's about a 2-hour drive from Rumoi, so using a tour is convenient.

- Kazunoko (herring roe): A representative specialty product of Rumoi. Kazunoko is sold in a variety of flavors.
- Seafood from Rumoi: Shrimp, octopus, scallops, and other seafood caught along the Rumoi coast.
